New: Feature Your Listing in the Homepage Spotlight
We just shipped something premium sellers have been asking for. You can now put one of your listings in the Spotlight, the moving row of featured items on the TibianHub homepage. It is the first thing visitors see, and now it can be your listing sitting there.
What the Spotlight is
The Spotlight is a rotating strip of promoted listings near the top of the homepage. Every visitor who lands on the site sees it, whether they are logged in or just browsing. A featured listing shows its image, price, server, and your seller name, and links straight to the listing page.
How to promote a listing
It takes two clicks:
- Open one of your active listings.
- Hit Promote Listing at the top right, then confirm.
That is it. Your listing joins the Spotlight right away, and the button changes to show it is currently promoted.
The details
- It runs for a set window. Each promotion stays in the Spotlight for a fixed number of hours, then rotates out.
- One per week. You can promote a listing once per week. The clock starts when you promote, so if you feature something on a Tuesday, your next slot opens the following Tuesday.
- Premium only. Promotion is a Premium perk. If you are not on Premium yet, the button points you there.
- Only live listings show. If a promoted listing sells or gets closed, it drops out of the Spotlight automatically, so buyers never click a dead link.
Why bother promoting
The homepage gets far more eyes than any single server-and-category page. A good listing in the Spotlight, with a sharp title, clean screenshots, and a fair price, can pull in buyers who were not even searching for it yet. Think of it as the front window of the shop.
Getting the most out of your slot
- Promote your strongest listing, not just your newest one.
- Make sure the image and price look good, since that is what people judge in the roller.
- Time it for when your server is busy, so more of the right buyers are around to see it.
Premium sellers can try it now. Open a listing and look for Promote Listing at the top right. More improvements to selling tools are on the way, so keep an eye on the blog.
